   Really pleased with it, making it alot easier putting my socks on. I'm waiting for a hip replacement and can't bend down to put socks on. I would definitely recommend to other people who find it difficult to put socks on.

   Found this item helpful in putting on socks as osteoarthritis in my hip and knee made it impossible to lift my right leg up enough to reach my foot properly. The item works but could be smaller and more flexible - perhaps offer two size options for customer choice.

   Bought because I have just had a hip operation and tested it out on my good leg first to ensure I was it worked properly.it took me a couple of goes before I got the technique right to pull on my socks.

    I bought this stocking aid as a present for a friend of mine who is in a care home. She finds it very helpful for pulling up her pantyhose. She has since ordered a couple more for friends in the home.

    I purchased the aids for putting on tights and socks, for my mother who is 93 and not very agile. She lives alone and is very self sufficient. She mostly wears tight and is finding the gadget very useful and effective. When they were delivered, my neighbour who is in her 80's and also lives alone, but also had difficulty with putting on sock as she too does not bend very well, was at my home. So I gave the docking stocking aid to my neighbour. She too found it helpful. Overall a great success.

    I have severe neuropathy in my hands and feet, because of this I have terrible problems handling things. I was introduced to this by a friend who bought one because she has problems bending. The reason I purchased 2 was because I have pal who has respiratory problems and requires his wife to assist in putting his socks on. I only wish I had known about this item some time ago.     I have been using a dorking sock aid for more than 8 years, ever since I had a hip replacement; and have used it more than once each day throughout that time, this purchase being only my second one. As I cannot now bend down far enough, I would be completely unable to put on my socks without it. It is so simple and straightforward to use and I always take it away with me wherever I travel anywhere, whether on holiday or otherwise.

    The sock/stocking aid was bought for my 84 year old mother who has had a hip replacement. She found it very easy to put on socks and it has been a very handy aid to her independence. She found it more fiddly to put on her tights with it, but nevertheless, with patience, it still worked well.

    I recently had my left hip replaced and bought the sock/stocking aid. The operation was fine but I had not realized how long it would be before I would be able to do the simple things such as putting on my socks. My wife dutifully obliged but after several weeks I decided I needed to do something to relieve her of this chore. Having viewed your website I found the sock/stocking aid listed. I tried it out and was amazed how effective it was. My socks went on like magic. What seems such a simple device must have taken a lot of development to end up being so effective.

    On the positive side, the reinforcing of the holes through which the tape passes are an improvement on the only previous version of such a 'sock aid' device I have used. On the temporarily negative side, the relatively large size - both in width and length - of the sheet plastic which holds the sock and feeds it on to the foot made it rather tight and uncomfortable in early use, but I soon worked out that it could be trimmed down to a more satisfactory size, to fit my rather small feet better.

    I purchased the dorking sock aid and I am so delighted with it. I have difficulty getting my socks on in the morning and this product is the simplest gadget i’ve seen in a long time. It is much better than the more expensive sock aid I owned and used to destruction. This sock aid seems to be stronger and hopefully, with its built in curve, will last me for a long time to come.

    Following a hip replacement, or for anyone with problems in bending to ankle level, this sock and stocking aid is exactly what is described - an essential aid. Simple design, easy to use, it is exceptional value for such a low price. I would rate this as one of the two most vital aids to help you through the recovery period, particularly if you don't have a partner who can help you dress.
